Challenge2 Looking at Google Reader

I explored Google Reader- which makes so much sense -I wish I had thought of it myself.
I have also subscribed to a blog featured in the cache we were supposed to select from.
I actually chose a colleague who continues to amaze me with her wealth of knowledge.
She commented that she wanted to challenge herself to avoid utilizing what now seems to be older ways of teaching. I hold the view that some of the older ways are also the best and not be lost on the new generation. That said, I look forward to learning, like her, about newer 21st Century methods of instruction.

I agree with Beefing Up Skills. I also hope to learn many things. The idea of Google Reader makes so much sense- I think it will save me time. I also feel like the more confident I am in the use of technology the more I will pass that on to my future students. I remember one thing from school that stuck with me. Technology Bridges the Achievement Gap. I look forward to taking part in this effort.

DPS Technology Challenge

I have decided to take on the DPS Technology Challenge this summer.
As a new graduate of NC State, I have had experience in technology applications in the classroom.
As a teacher, I have seen the benefit of utilizing technology in my lessons. Students are far more engaged when lessons incorporate fun engaging technology applications. I would like to continue my professional development by learning about new features on Web 2.0. Additionally, I would like to practice using some of these domains prior to the new school year. Most importantly, though, I look forward to challenging myself to become a better educator.
